If you are already using a medical profile at www.zdravotniprofil.cz, all your data will remain preserved. With the new version, paid Plus and Premium plans have been added with extended features (more records, document uploads, sending your location to emergency contacts). Your existing profile will automatically switch to the Basic plan, which is permanently free. You don’t need to do anything — if you want more features, you can upgrade at any time in your account settings to the paid Plus or Premium plan.
No. All your existing data (medications, allergies, contacts, medical conditions) will remain unchanged in your profile and will continue to be visible to healthcare professionals in emergency mode.
If you currently have more entries than the Basic plan allows (e.g. 5 medications instead of 2), your data will not be deleted. You simply won’t be able to edit entries above the limit. You can either leave them as they are, delete some, or upgrade to the Plus or Premium plan at any time, which will immediately remove the limits.
Your profile is still available at www.zdravotniprofil.cz. QR codes and PINs on your existing bracelets and tags continue to work without any changes — you do not need to get new ones.
As we have always communicated, in order to continue developing the service, improving its security, and adding new features (such as location sharing, sharing emergency contact details, and uploading documents), it is not possible to fund everything solely from our own resources indefinitely.
The Basic plan remains permanently free and includes the most essential information for emergencies. Paid plans can be tried free of charge for 14 days, allowing you to decide whether they provide value for you.
No. To open the profile, a regular mobile phone is enough - a first responder or healthcare professional simply scans the QR code (which contains a URL with a PIN), or they can enter the PIN directly at www.zdravotniprofil.cz. No special app is required.
Register for free at www.medicalprofile.eu and complete your medical profile – it only takes a few minutes and you don’t need a bracelet or a payment card. You can review and try out your profile at your own pace and add more information at any time.
When you’re ready, order a BodyID bracelet at www.bodyid.com and link it to your account using the PIN on its back.
Yes, the profile is accessible anywhere in the world where there is an internet connection or SMS availability (see more about emergency SMS). First responders or doctors abroad can view it in English or another language. No special app is required.
When activating the Plus or Premium plan, you enter your payment details, but you pay nothing for the first 14 days and have full access to all features. If you do not cancel your subscription before the end of the trial period, the first monthly or annual payment (depending on the selected billing cycle) is automatically charged and the subscription continues.
You will receive an email reminder a few days before the trial ends.
If you cancel the subscription, your profile will switch to the free Basic plan - your data will remain saved, but limits on the number of entries will apply. You can return to a paid plan at any time.
People with chronic conditions - such as diabetes, heart disease, allergies, or autoimmune disorders - typically have 5-15 medications, multiple allergies, several diagnoses, and contacts for specialists.
The Basic plan only allows 2 medications, 2 allergies, and 1 diagnosis. The Premium plan removes all of these limits and also adds document uploads across all sections.
Yes. Within one account, you can manage profiles for multiple family members - each with their own QR code and their own data.
This is ideal for caring for seniors or for parents managing profiles for children.
If you delete your profile, it will not be removed immediately, but only after 30 days. During this period, you can log back into your profile and cancel the scheduled deletion. This serves as a safeguard in case of mistake, haste, or accidental deletion.
The profile consists of 15 sections: Personal Information, Languages Spoken, Insurance, Addresses, Emergency Contacts, Medications, Vaccinations, Allergies, Medical Conditions, Past Illnesses and Surgeries, Family Medical History, Healthcare Facilities, Doctors, Documents, and Additional Information. You don’t have to fill everything in at once - enter what you consider important for an emergency, and you can update the profile at any time. The more information you provide, the better healthcare professionals can respond.
Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*). To create a profile, it is sufficient to fill in your first name, last name, year of birth, and nationality. Everything else is optional and can be completed at any time later. However, we recommend filling in at least your emergency contact, allergies, and medications as soon as possible - these are the details a first responder needs first.
Yes. The profile is not only intended for people with chronic conditions. It can also help in case of injury, sudden illness, travel, sports, or situations where a person is unable to communicate. Basic information (blood type, allergies, emergency contact) can save anyone’s life.
In the Personal Details section, you enter your first name, last name, year of birth, gender, weight, height, blood type, nationality, phone number, and whether you are an organ donor. You can also add your hair and eye color for easier identification. Your name and year of birth are also shown in the emergency SMS. We also recommend uploading a current photo - it can help with identification if you are unable to communicate.
The “Spoken languages” section is essential in emergency situations abroad or for foreigners in the Czech Republic. It allows emergency responders to immediately see which language they can communicate with you in and at what level. For each language, you select a proficiency level – native speaker, conversational, etc. You can enter any number of languages.
Yes. In the Insurance section, you enter your insurance provider, type of insurance (health, travel, etc.), insurance number, and the insurance company’s phone contact. You can also upload a photo or scan of your insurance card for each insurance entry. You can have multiple insurances at the same time - for example, health insurance in the Czech Republic and travel insurance for holidays. Insurance details are also included in the emergency SMS.
In the Addresses section, you can enter your permanent residence, temporary address, or any other important location. You can also add a note to each address. The address can help emergency services with identification and orientation.
The number of emergency contacts depends on your plan – Basic allows 1 contact, Plus allows 2 contacts, and Premium allows an unlimited number. For each contact, you enter their first name, last name, relationship (parent, partner, girlfriend, etc.), phone number, email, and optionally an address. The name and phone number of the primary contact are included in the emergency SMS. In paid BodyID plans, emergency contacts also automatically receive the location of the incident.
The Basic plan allows 2 medications, Plus allows 4 medications, and Premium allows an unlimited number. For each medication, you can record the name, dosage, type of medication (prescription / over-the-counter), reason for use, and notes. In paid plans, you can also attach a medical document to each medication. These limits also apply to allergies, medical conditions, and other sections - the full overview is available on the Plans page.
Yes. The Healthcare Devices section is specifically designed for this - pacemakers, hearing aids, joint implants, insulin pumps. In the Basic and Plus plans, there is a limit of 1 entry, while the Premium plan offers unlimited entries.
Yes. In the Vaccinations section, you enter the name of the vaccine and notes (for example, number of doses or date). You can also attach a scan of your vaccination card. This is especially useful when travelling to countries that require proof of vaccination.
Family medical history records hereditary or recurring diseases in your family - for example diabetes, heart disease, or cancer. This is valuable information for doctors when making a diagnosis. You enter it in the profile as free text.
